Prepare all engineering documentation required for the proposal including exceptions and clarifications, calculations and specifications, technical process documentation as well as design review, validation or verification documentation.
Identify where a particular proposal is likely to require additional analysis resources and work with the Analysis Manager to coordinate this work.
Incorporate relevant information from Process Engineering and Manufacturing into bid designs, work with those groups when a new or modified process is required to meet the bid design requirements.
Liaise closely with the Client regarding design, analysis and documentation.
In conjunction with Sales, engage in close communication with Clients to fully understand their requirements and any technical leverage that Multiflex can bring to the bid.
Proactively participate in the Sales Handover Meetings (HOM) following contract award.
Proactively assist the Project Engineer in the time immediately following the HOM to convert the conceptual designs into detailed designs.
Ensure that all designs and specifications are peer reviewed, and participate in checking the documentation of others.
Assist in the identification of new processes/equipment and the development of acceptance criteria for existing and new manufacturing processes/equipment
Enforce and continually improve design engineering guidelines.
Support and enforce the local Intellectual Property (IP) Management in accordance with Oceaneering policies.
Produce Engineering reports, technical papers and bulletins.
Use CI techniques in order to eliminate waste in engineering processes and in manufacturing, testing and load-out processes.
Provide Technical Support to all other Departments in Multiflex as required.
Work closely with the Development Engineering group as directed, and adhere to the Development Engineering Procedures.
Support Process Engineering group, as necessary, in the development and execution of processes.
Participate in CQI projects and events.
